The connection has one job: make your forecast less manual. The money movement side of Plaid is out of scope for Runrate.

What flows

Only the information you approve moves forward.

The connection keeps your forecast current. Before connecting, you see which accounts and data types you are being asked to share.

What cannot

There is no path back to your money.

Runrate does not use Plaid products that move money. Editing a balance or transaction in Runrate changes the forecast—not the record or funds at your bank.

Who signs in

Your bank login is never entered into Runrate.

When a bank supports OAuth, you authenticate on the bank’s own site or app. Other institutions may connect inside Plaid Link. In either case, Runrate does not receive your bank username, password, or security code.

Each system has one job.

Plaid handles the read-only bank connection. Specialized providers handle billing and service operations.
